Photograph caption dated March 16, 1964 reads, "The first shovel of ground is turned for a new Valley industrial plant, Lafayette Metals, Inc. Taking part in ceremonies were, left to right, Kress Pandzic, chief engineer for the builder; Nat Levine, Lafayette Metals, Inc., president, and Matt Maxwell, vice president of firm." The article partially reads, "Lafayette Metals, Inc., started construction last week of a 32,000 square foot warehouse and office building at 10234 Glenoaks Blvd., in Pacoima. The firm was formerly located at 8796 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, and is engaged in warehousing and jobbing sheet and coil steel for industrial plants."
