Photograph caption dated July 23, 1955 reads, "Carpenter Al Haas recuperates at his North Hollywood home, 6152 St. Clair Ave., with niece, Kathy, 9, and dog 'Tinker,' after receiving 70 stitches in head to close wound caused when he slipped while backflipping off neighbor's diving board. 'I must of been crazy with heat to try a back flip at my age,' Haas reminisced."
