Description
Orange Public Library, Carnegie building, 407 East Chapman Avenue, Orange, California, 1940. The Carnegie Library, designed by architect Cornelius B. Bradshaw (d. 1932), opened in 1908 and was demolished in 1961. Postcard image shows facade of the classical revival structure, with front steps flanked by lamp posts and "PUBLIC LIBRARY" over entranceway. Inscribed in white ink across bottom right corner, "Public Library Orange, Cal."
