Image shows group portrait and interior view of the auditorium at Malaga Cove School, located at 385 Via Almar in Malaga Cove, with the second annual Colonial Ball, hosted by the Palos Verdes Woman's Club. Visible are twelve young men and women, dressed in eighteenth-century costumes, identified (left to right) as: 1. Betsy Martin (daughter of Farnham Martin); 2. Jane Low (daughter of Colonel John Chambers Low); 3. Keegan Low (standing immediately behind his sister, Jane); 4. Betty Moeller; 5. Spencer Moeller; 6. Florence Dawson; 7. Robert Dawson; 8. Dorothy Faulkner; 9. Jack Dawson; 10. Eleanor Mills; 11. Lovella Hodge; and 12. Charley Gibbs. Approximately 140 guests attended the ball in the auditorium, which was decorated with candlelight and cut tree branches. Malaga Cove School, designed by the architectural film of Allison & Allison, opened on April 5, 1926.
