Description
Scope/Content: Manuscript notes on blank pages of printed almanac.
Scope/Content: Manuscript notes by an anonymous Scot regarding the aftermath of the Scottish Rebellion, including lists of those executed, detained and released, as well as lists of Scottish representative peers elected in 1747, and financial comparisons between the Jacobite Rebellion and Queen Anne's War, among other related topics. Other notes include exchange rates for foreign currencies and a long extracted passage titled "A remarkable instance of Turkish justice." These memoranda are written on the blank pages and the beginning and end of the printed text; the blank pages included alongside the almanac's calendars have not been used. There are also several corrections or additions to the printed text (for example, events that occured in November and December 1747 and the February fair in Moulin).
