Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph, from left to right, of Al Schmitz, Charlie Stavnow and Elmer Cole standing next to H. H. West's Cadillac during a trip to Taboose Creek. The Cadillac is parked at left and occupies about half of the image. It is viewed at an angle from rear and faces slightly right towards the horizon. The license plate on the rear of the vehicle reads, "CAL 273172." The right side of the car angles towards the center of the image. Al Schmitz, Charlie Stavnow and Elmer Cole stand in a row to the right of the front of the car in the near distance. Al leans against the car and faces right while looking towards the camera. Charlie stands at center; he looks towards the left. Elmer Cole stands rightmost. He too looks towards the left. A brush-covered hillside rises in the far distance. Text from negative sleeve: 1258.
