Description
1989-1183. In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 2. The view of a corner lot with a mailbox located at the corner; at the corner a blocky section rises above the roofline; to its left is a sign "W.P. Fuller & Co." and further down on the side of a taller building is the head of a bear surrounded by a border which says "Blake Moffitt & To...Paper"; to the left of the mailbox is a fire hydrant and a man standing on the sidewalk; to the right of the blocky section is another sign "W.P. Full" and beneath sign is parked a car. Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento. "Old warehouse of W.P.Fuller Company. W.P. Fuller was first employed by Mr. Rivett. In the '70's' the firm was known as Whittier, Fuller Co.'28'K street."
