I. Sakamoto, the chairman of the board of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., writes Mr. Kenneth Hopper saying that Mr. Inoue achieved meritoriously in his contribution to Sumitomo Rubber Industries and helped pull the company through a difficult time following the devastation of the war. He says that he will write to Hopper in regards to Inoue's contribution to Japanese industry as a whole in due time. The letter contains Sakamoto's signature. The letter also contains an original handwritten check mark and a "17" written on the top, right corner of the page.
