Mary Pickford was a Canadian-born silent film actress, famously known as "America's sweetheart," co-founder of American Artists film studio, and one of the original founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Buddy Rogers was an American actor and jazz musician.
Photograph caption dated June 22, 1937 reads "Mary Pickford and Buddy Rogers." Pickford and Rogers are shown with a city clerk, filing an application at the marriage license bureau in the Hall of Records, Downtown Los Angeles.
