Photograph caption dated May 6, 1937 reads, "With her two diaries seized, Mary Miles Minter, above, today was called to appear before the grand jury in a new investigation of the 15-year-old William Desmond Taylor murder mystery. The diaries were those Miss Minter kept before and after Taylor was slain. She said that they contained nothing that amounted to anything and that she had told all she knew of the case."
