James Carroll discusses his book, “House of War: The Pentagon and the Disastrous Rise of American Power.” Carroll says the groundbreaking of the Pentagon began on September 11, 1941 and talks about the planning process. He shares that the creation of the Pentagon paved the way for the bombing of cities, strategic bombing from the air, the establishment of Los Alamos, and nuclear weapons.
