Jim Wright discusses his book, “Balance of Power.” He begins by explaining how his experience in government has spanned nine presidents, from Dwight D. Eisenhower to Bill Clinton. He shares the impact of living through the depression and how it effected his political beliefs and practices. Wright details his experiences with campaigning in the state of Texas and his memories of the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. He goes on to discuss the roles that both President Johnson and Nixon played in conducting the Vietnam War. Also in this interview, Wright shares his opinions on America’s involvement in foreign affairs in Central America and the Middle East.
