Description
This is a reaction panel to the first half of this symposium. The members are, Hallie Preskill (panel chair, Claremont Graduate University), Christina A. Christie (Facilitator); Michael Scriven (Western Michgan University), Jennifer Greene (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) Sharon F. Rallis (University of Massachusetts Amherst), Sandra Mathison (University of British Columbia, Vancouver), and Thomas Schwandt (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). Members critique presentations relating to the limitations of experimental approaches to evaluation and social scientific research, and also discuss their overall reactions. Panel members each take a few moments to present their feedback. Then, questions from the audience (directed either towards panel members or towards the original presenters) are entertained.
