Description
Richard Lourie discusses his book, “Hunting the Devil.” He begins by describing the 55 murders of young women in Russia by a man named Andreĭ Romanovich Chikatilo. Lourie talks about how Chikatilo would lure girls into his home, and after murdering them would perform sexual cannibalism. Lourie discusses how he lived with the detective that finally arrested Chikatilo and was able to get a confession. Chikatilo had a job that allowed him to travel and he killed all over Russia, making it difficult for police to find him. Lourie ends the interview by talking about how Chikatilo will probably be put to death with a single bullet to the head.
