In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. B, leaf 26.
In right forground is the back of a car traveling into the photograph; two cars in front of the first is the back of a trolley; on left side two cars move toward the front; tall buildings flank the street; on the left a car is about to turn right at the corner; second business on left is Kress; on the right at the corner is a large vertical sign "KPO HALE BROS"; crowds of people move along the sidewalk on both sides and cars are parked at the curb on both sides.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
