As part of the Sacramento Public Library's World War I revisited series, Occidental College professor emerita Lynn Dumenil presents terrific insights into the role of American Women in World War I in a talk funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Her new book is "The Second Line of Defense: American Women and World War I" (University of North Carolina Press, 2017).
