Description
Darryl Hickman discusses his book, “The Unconscious Actor: Out of Control, in Full Command: The Art of Performance in Acting and in Life.” Hickman talks about his time as a childhood actor and as a director of daytime drama. He says not to try to act as a character, but be who you are. Hickman talks about Constantin Stanislavski and Charles Nelson Reilly. He describes what he looks for in potential students and the importance of awareness from moment to moment. Hickman’s interview ends at the pause at the end of the video.
