Description
Peter Drucker lectures to his students in an executive management course. Topics discussed during his lecture include: John D. Rockefeller’s wealth in 1890, inequality during transition periods, transformational and transactional costs, information technologies and data, the importance of demographics, immigration as a central political issue, family consumption, the beginning of knowledge workers in the 1960s, Franz Kafka and the invention of the safety helmet, employees and employment, the information explosion of the 1880s and 1890s, the Japanese communication style, free markets, the Pope and problems, one’s responsibility to place oneself, J.P. Morgan’s management style, and the organization man of the 1950s. There is no audio available from about 00:13:53 to 00:14:18 and 00:14:54 to 00:17:40 due to technical problems during the taping of the lecture.
