Description
Paul White discusses his book, “White’s Rules.” He begins by explaining that he is a teacher “of reject kids.” White runs the West Valley Leadership Academy, which is a public charter school in Canoga Park, California. The kids that are sent to him often struggle with drugs, gangs, violence, and overall behavior issues. He goes on to detail some of “White’s Rules” which include, students under the age of sixteen must perform volunteer work, those sixteen and older must have a job, and 25% of what they make must go into a savings account. He explains how the school functions under a zero tolerance policy. Also in this interview White reads aloud from his book.
