Description
Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela discusses her book, “A Human Being Died that Night: A South African Story of Forgiveness.” Gobodo-Madikizela talks about her meetings with Eugene de Kock, the apartheid regime death squad head. She describes the encounters of De Kock with widows of individuals he murdered and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Gobodo-Madikizela goes on to talk about forgiveness, hatred, the line between good and evil, truth, and the problems of poverty, black and white division, and AIDS.
