Kenneth Hopper writes Mr. B. Inoue, of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., saying that people in the United States are looking at Hopper's old articles again and finding renewed interest in them. He believes that Inoue's writing is important because there has not been a description of the evolution of the "new Japanese management" from the inside that has appeared in English. Hopper adds that he learned something he did not expect in regards to why the Japanese have become so dedicated to their companies. The letter contains Hopper's signature.
