Description
Connie and Joseph begin the interview discussing the context of the book’s setting in Los Angeles, and how particular the Hollywood police station is from others. They then go on to discuss topics that the book deals with, such as prostitution, drugs, race, and excessive force from authorities. They move on to discuss the OJ Simpson trial and the power of the press in portraying police departments before reflecting on the particulars of the Rodney King trial and its aftermath. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
