Description
Rose Eichenbaum discusses her book, “Masters of Movement.” She begins by discussing the decision of the Smithsonian to publish the book and her personal education in dance. She explains that a theme she found amongst the choreographers that she interviewed was the determination to never repeat themselves and to continually try new things. Eichenbaum goes on to share stories of various dancers and choreographers including Donald McKayle, Edward Villella, David Parsons, and Eliot Feld. Later in the interview she discusses her interview process when making the book and how she choose whom to include in the book.
