View of the front of a two story house; in lower right corner the hood of a car and in the lower left corner is the trunk of a palm tree with another leafy tree directly behind it; in center is the house approached by a staircase on the right with rails which lead to the front door; on the left beside staircase is a railing in front of an overhanging second floor roof, which creates a covered porch by the front door; second floor also has a balcony with a railing in front and the second story facade has 3 vertical windows; on the right side of the house about halfway down the side is another part of the building which extends the width; this section shows 3 vertical windows one above the other from the basement through the second floor.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
"Home of James E. Mills, Brother of D.O. and Edgar Mills... Cashier of the bank...He lived here in the '80's.'"
