1989-1325. In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 47. View of a corner upon which sits a large house; 3 floors and basement with the entrance up a long set of stairs on the left; a covered porch shelters the entance; facade appears to show bay windows structures on both sides of the entrance; round-arched windows are on 1st floor, rectangular windows on 2nd and round-arched windows on 3rd level on mansard roof; on right side is horizontal wood planking on right and then a large bay window structure prodtruding from the side with windows on 2 floors. surmounted by entablature interruped by a round arch. Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento. "Residence of August Heilborn, building erected in 1873.Still occupied by same family.Former 'wholesale & retail butchers', 'City Market' 120 J st. and 'Washington Market', 619 J st.
