Description
Scope/Content: Manuscript copy book written in multiple hands containing a variety of devotional and scriptural texts, alphabets in secretary, italic and chancery scripts, sermon notes, family records of the Goodaire family, sample petitions and other legal documents, notes on mathematics and numeration and extracts from printed works on stenography and handwriting. Many pages are filled with elaborate calligraphic illustration and embellishment.
Condition: Bound in contemporary plain calf with blind triple-ruled border on covers; modern rebacking and paper repairs.
