Photograph caption dated October 29, 1963 partially reads "Family aide services classes are under way at Red Cross headquarters in Van Nuys to train mature persons to help the elderly, the convalescent or the invalid. The program, sponsored by Red Cross, State Employment Service and City Health Department, is a 12-hour training course, including health, accident prevention and practical psychology of the aged. At right, Mrs. Chamness instructs Mmes. Horace Dutcher, Canoga Park, and Michael Rinkosky, Mission Hills, in bed feeding. 'Patient'-student is George S. Hewitt, Sherman Oaks."
