B. Inoue, of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., writes Mr. Kenneth Hopper, discussing Claire Hopper's interest in Hiroshige prints. Inoue says that he passed his 77th birthday and wishes Hopper and his wife a merry Christmas and happy new year. In the postscript, Inoue mentions a Wall Street Journal article and a Dunlop U. K. proposal. In the original handwritten portion of the letter, Inoue says that he has received Hopper's letter, together with a letter from Hopper's brother and Mr. Tsukakoshi, and hopes that Hopper's health improves. The letter contains Inoue's original signature on page 1 and page 2. The letter also contains an original handwritten "48" in two places on the top, right corner of page 1.
