Description
Mary Woronov discusses her autobiography, “Swimming Underground.” She begins by explaining that she was a member of artist Andy Warhol’s Factory and entourage. She talks about how she met Warhol through her school Cornell. She describes Warhol’s shy personality and how his public persona was different from his private one. Martinson asks Woronov to read a passage about wealthy life in a big city. She talks about going to Los Angeles to promote the band The Velvet Underground. She ends the interview by discussing her extensive drug use, shoplifting, and alcoholism.
