In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 44.
A large commercial Victorian building on a corner dominates the view; a bay window on the second floor defines the corner with a cone-shaped roof; building is two floors with a roof awning on the first floor; on left side of the corner a business is located on the first floor with its name written on a window; a mail box sits on the corner in front; on the 2nd floor two businesses are identified at the top of each set of 2nd floor windows separated by a bay window: J.W. Tyer Grocer on the far left & Clauss & Kraus Est. 1888 on the right.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
