In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 42.
A view of a corner with the roadway in the foreground; a large, low one storey building is to the left of the corner; cars are parked at the curb on the left of the corner; a smaller one storey buildings sits to the right of the larger one; next to the large building begins a row of leafless trees which curve around the corner with a low hedge in front of the trees and a sidewalk in front of the hedge.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
"'Old Richmond Grove' picnic grounds in the gay 90's. Trees torn down and removed to make way for the Valley Wholesale Building, summer of 1936."
